Changing School/Department Welcome Message and Voicemail
Follow the steps below to change the Welcome Message for your school site:
- From Cisco Phone, dial 400000. You will hear a intro to Greeting Administrator.
- Enter your extension and PIN. This is the extension and Voicemail PIN of staff member whose phone rings when the main line is dialed. You will then be asked to enter extension of the call handler.
- Enter “XXX099”, where XXX is the first three digits of the site’s extension.
- Follow the prompts to change the standard greeting.
- Example: “Thank you for calling Bolin Elementary school. If you know your party’s extension you may dial it at any time. Otherwise stay on the line for the next available staff member.”
Follow the steps below to change the Voicemail for your school site:
- From Cisco Phone, press voicemail button and then press “*”
- Enter “XXX100”, followed by “#”, where XXX is the first three digits of the site’s extension
- Enter default PIN, 132213, followed by “#”
- Follow prompts to record outgoing voicemail message.
